  • Designers fight AIDS

Cyndi Lauper, Katy Perry and Yoko Ono, among others, have something in common this week. They’ve all designed pieces for H&M’s second annual Fashion Against AIDS campaign.

Teaming up with Designers Against AIDS for the second straight year, the Swedish retailer has commissioned a collection of tees, dresses, tank tops and bodysuits -- all with an '80s feel that combines white, bright colors and graffiti prints.

Prices run from $12.90 to $24.90, with 25 percent of sales going to HIV / AIDS youth awareness projects; last year’s campaign raised more than $15 million.

Lauper’s tee proclaims “Girls just wanna have safe sex.”

Perry's, right, gives a safe sex message: “What’s on the outside is what counts” and Ono’s design incorporates the words “Imagine Peace” in multiple languages. Other designers include Estelle, gray tank at left, Dita Von Teese, Moby, N.E.R.D. and Katharine Hamnett. Look for them in H&M stores starting Thursday, May 28.

  • Michelle Obama, first lady of style

She can’t make a move without pundits weighing in on her wardrobe (was she or wasn’t she wearing false eyelashes during a visit to a D.C. classroom?) and designers go absolutely giddy when she shows up in one of their outfits.

Michelle Obama is clearly making her presence known in the style world. Already, there’s been a bookd, and now the people at IMG publishing (producers of The Daily Front Row and the Fashion Mini) have put out “Michelle Obama, 100 days of Style.”

The photo-heavy, 116-page glossy covers Inauguration Day, the European tour and low-key events like the planting of the vegetable garden.

First lady fans will gobble it up; it’s $6.50 at bookstores or order online. (Click here to connect.)

  • Get the "Terminator" look

Feeling aggressive today? Channel a little “Terminator: We Fight Back” action with Oakley’s S.I. Assault Boot, the very style worn by Christian Bale, left, in the movie.

The leather boot is $185 online, (Click here to connect.) and is a street version of gear developed for the elite U.S. Special Forces.

Features like a moisture-wicking liner, shock absorption and a heavy-duty tread make them suitable for all kinds of tough situations and difficult terrain.

Perhaps we’ll order a pair for Fashion Week.
