Thomas R. Allocca, a longtime Long Islander who flew B-52 missions during the Cold War and served as navigator on secret intelligence-gathering flights to the Middle East, died May 10, 2012, in Tucson, Ariz., of complications related to Parkinson's disease. He was 73.
