NYU expansion plans

A New York City Council committee approved a plan to add four new buildings to New York University's core campus area in Greenwich Village, reducing the original plan to add about 2 million square feet of classroom, dorm, lab and facility space by about 22 percent. Neighborhood activists and faculty who oppose the plan spoke at a news conference on the plan.
